The DNA test
We send you a simple cheek swab kit — no blood draw, no clinic visit. You swab the inside of your cheek for 30 seconds, seal the sample, and mail it back in the prepaid envelope. Our CLIA-certified partner lab genotypes approximately 710,000 genetic data points from your sample. We then evaluate 200+ curated genetic markers that directly impact your nutrient needs.
No fasting or special preparation needed. We recommend waiting 30 minutes after eating, drinking, or brushing your teeth for optimal sample quality, but it’s not strictly required.
Our diagnostic partner, Dynamic DNA Labs, achieves a 99.82% genotyping call rate with 99.99% reproducibility. The lab is CLIA-certified (License #26D2106631) and CAP accredited — the same standards used by leading clinical laboratories.
Privacy & data
Absolutely. Your genetic data is processed in a CLIA-certified, HIPAA-compliant laboratory. We never sell, share, or provide your genetic information to third parties — including insurance companies, employers, or law enforcement. Your data is encrypted at rest and in transit. You can request full deletion of your genetic data at any time.
Yes. You can request complete deletion of your genetic data by contacting us at hello@vitalityformulas.co. Once deleted, we will no longer be able to remanufacture your formula without a new test.
Your formula
Every formula starts with a foundational base of essential nutrients in their most bioavailable forms — active folate, methylcobalamin B12, chelated zinc, and more. On top of that, your specific genetic variants trigger additions, dosage increases, or form changes. Your customer dashboard shows exactly which ingredients are in your bottle and why each one was selected based on your DNA.
Most competitors use quizzes or blood tests. Quizzes measure what you already know about yourself. Blood tests measure biomarkers that fluctuate daily. DNA is permanent — test once, optimize forever. And unlike pill-pack services that recommend off-the-shelf capsules, we custom-compound a single formula manufactured specifically for you.
Your formula is generated by our proprietary rules engine based on your genetic data. We don’t currently support manual ingredient overrides, but your dashboard clearly explains why each ingredient is included. If you have specific concerns or allergies, contact us and we’ll review your formula.
Shipping & subscription
After you mail your DNA kit back, lab processing takes approximately 3–4 weeks. Once your results are in, your custom formula is manufactured — typically 5–10 business days — and shipped directly to you. Total timeline from kit to bottle is approximately 5–6 weeks for your first order.
Vitality is $249/month with a 6-month membership commitment, billed monthly. Your DNA kit is included at no additional cost. Your first 90-day supplement supply ships approximately 5–6 weeks after joining. Your second supply ships automatically at month 4. After your initial 6-month commitment, you can continue at $199/month on an annual plan.
No. Your DNA doesn’t change. Once we have your genetic profile, your formula can be remanufactured indefinitely. We may refine the rules engine over time as new research emerges, which could improve your formula — but you’ll never need another cheek swab.
Results & safety
We’re careful not to make outcome promises — your genetics inform what your body needs, not a guaranteed timeline for feeling different. Many members report noticing changes in energy, sleep quality, or general wellbeing within the first 30–60 days. Nutrient optimization is a gradual process, and consistency matters most.
We recommend consulting your healthcare provider before starting any supplement, especially if you take prescription medications. Your Vitality dashboard flags any relevant genetic considerations, and all ingredient forms and dosages are within established safe upper limits. Our formulas are manufactured at an NSF cGMP-certified facility.
You can cancel anytime after your 6-month commitment period ends. During the commitment period, you can pause your subscription for up to 30 days. If you’re unsatisfied with your first order, contact us within 30 days of receiving your supplement — we’ll work with you to make it right.
